We are a Nation Wide Community of Brain Keepers who are committed to the elimination of Alzheimer’s and other causes of dementia. We stand ready to share a New Message of Hope about lifestyle being the key to doing away with dementia in the future.
This New Message of Hope is something everyone can benefit from hearing. That is why we invite you to join us as a Brain Keeper. When you do, it makes a positive statement about your commitment to caring for your own brain health, as well as opens the doors to sharing our compelling message with family, friends and all who live within your community.
We strive to share a New Message of Hope about dementia with communities throughout the United States. And, it is a message we especially want to share with you!
Our passion is to teach our Brain Keepers how healthy lifestyle habits can lead to the prevention/reversal of dementia causes such as Alzheimer’s.
We use everyday language and examples to explain how practicing Alzheimer’s Blocking is the key to establishing an Alzheimer’s Barricade, your pathway to realizing optimal brain health as you age.
With a heart for helping those with dementia challenges and concerns, we work to provide our Brain Keepers with ongoing support and encouragement. Our pledge is to be here for them in support of all they do to practice living the lifestyle habits that can lead to better brain health, as well as a long and happy life!
An example of how we convey our New Message of Hope is to teach you to think of yourself as the quarterback of your lifespan. You call the plays on how you will live each and every day! We call these Lifestyle Plays. Some plays work well and some do not.
But, every play you call will either add to or take away from your ability to reach your goal of being as brain healthy as possible throughout life. Now, think of the causes of dementia, such as Alzheimer’s, as the defense that is trying to keep you from reaching this goal.
As the quarterback of your lifespan, calling lifestyle plays that are known to result in better brain health is your best offense against the encroaching defense Alzheimer’s and other causes of dementia represent.
While we wish to share our New Message of Hope with everyone, we place extra emphasis on reaching underserved communities. Studies have shown that Alzheimer’s disease is almost twice as common in women compared to men. Also, African Americans and Hispanics are 2 and 1.5 times, respectively, more likely to get Alzheimer’s than whites. These groups are often those that make up the people living in underserved communities. We believe that in order to change the future of Alzheimer’s, reaching undeserved communities must be one of our key priorities.
