New Hope Brain Keepers

OUR MISSION

New Hope Brain Keepers will not accept a future devastated by dementia. Our mission is to educate and empower people to practice the lifestyle habits known to result in better brain health and point the way towards a future that is less encumbered by the causes of dementia, such as Alzheimer’s. We work to help people learn that they can play the key role in determining their future brain health outcome and aspire to give them a future they can be excited about living.

OUR VISION

We see getting people to live a Brain Healthy Lifestyle as America’s best hope for making the future, with respect to dementia, a brighter one.

Three key objectives represent our vision for helping change the current direction America is heading.

  • Give God the glory in everything we strive to accomplish.
  • Work diligently to help reduce the number of people who suffer from dementia concerns in the future.
  • To reach Underserved Communities that often include population segments most susceptible to dementia causes such as Alzheimer’s (Women, African Americans, Hispanics).

THE BRAIN KEEPER PLEDGE

  • To more fully understand, and practice living, the lifestyle habits that are known to be healthy for my brain.
  • To help bring about a future that is free from Alzheimer’s and other causes of dementia by being willing to share what I learn as a Brain Keeper with family, friends and neighbors.
  • To care for the caregivers of those who are dealing with dementia concerns.
  • To be willing to reach out to underserved communities who are often the most susceptible to dementia.
  • To entrust my efforts to God and give Him the glory in everything I do!

OUR HISTORY

New Hope Brain Keepers was founded by Don Veenstra and a dedicated group of people with a heart for serving those with Alzheimer’s and other causes of dementia. Don’s unique blend of business experience, combined with what he learned operating his Brain Fitness Coaching business since 2005, lead him to establish this nonprofit.

As a result, people across America are beginning to understand that living a brain healthy lifestyle makes them the “Keeper” of their own brain and equips them to remain as cognitively healthy as possible throughout life!

By sharing the good news this New Message of Hope represents, we have been able to help people address dementia with a New Plan-of-Action. It is a person-centered plan that sees people preventing diseases like Alzheimer’s with positive lifestyle habit adjustments. And for those who may already have Alzheimer’s, it is a plan that no longer has them seeing themselves as an “Alzheimer’s sufferer or victim,” but flipping the script to being a “person living with Alzheimer’s” and living well!
